In 1968, American architects Robert Venturi, Denise Scott Brown and Steven Izenour together with students from the Yale University made the city of Las Vegas the object of their research. Their findings, published 1972 in the book "Learning from Las Vegas", are legendary: From this time onwards categories of the ordinary, the ugly and the social extended the view of architecture. The exhibition presents the original material from the "Las Vegas Studios": Many of the images will be on show for the first time.

An exhibition of the museum im Bellpark, Kriens/Switzerland, curated by Hilar Stadler, Kriens, and Martino Stierli, Basel.

Exhibition catalogue: Scheidegger and Spiess Publishers, Zurich

Regrettably the announced lecture by Denise Scott Brown and Robert Venturi doesn't take place.
